I was worried that the top might arrive broken, but fortunately it arrived without any damage. However, there was no assembly manual, so I had to assemble it by looking at the product photos. The product description said that a drill was not needed, but there was no indication of where to fix the screws on the wooden top... Since it's plywood, I had to drill with force and then screw it in to fix it. It's just a product in this price range, and if you put it under a mattress, it will stick out slightly, so I don't think you can put anything too heavy or breakable on it.
